Sun Palace Cancun

A lot of older crowds(60+) so I would not stay there next time. Beach was good and beach service was good as well.. We did not spend time at the pool. Breakfast was good and not crowded. We did not eat dinner there as we went out to different restaurants.

We recently stayed here at the Sun palace and had such an amazing time! Everything was great from the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the views and the service. Jonathan at the pool truly got everyone up and having a great time, we always enjoyed a good laugh with him around. The bar staff (Juan and Marco) were phenomenal as well. We didn't run into one staff member there that we didn't enjoy. I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for something a little smaller and more personable experience as well as relaxing. You end up making friends with other people there on vacation as well as the staff.

Sun palace Cancún was the perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon. Between the spa and beauty salon, we had the best experiences with staff there. Beatriz, Valeri, Marta, and Deysi were all amazing. Valeri was very nice and started fun conversations. Beatriz was so funny and was a great teammate with Valeri during our mani/pedi. Lizabeth was our favorite waitress while at the pool and beach. Perfect vacation.

Sun Palace has excellent food, something we value greatly. The entertainment is fantastic. Rooms are spacious and elegant. Very modern with usb outlets and casting to televisions. We enjoyed the beach there too, and the quiet pool is great. Also, the sporty pool kept us engaged with fun activities. My wife and I both performed sexy dances, well not too sexy, too much fun!

4.5 star luxury resort, 300ish rooms, really close to airport, all rooms are ocean view, free nightly entertainment, worth the money. All rooms are amazing, so don’t worry about which room to pick from. Great service from all staff, special thanks to Christian (concierge) who has been incredible to deal with. There are 4 restaurants, Thai, Italian, International (mostly Mexican cuisine), and Fuego (grill). Thai being the smallest so it’s hardest to get reservations for. Hotel being luxury it tend to cater to an older demographic, as a number of nightly shows contain 80s/90s themes. Average age of guest is probably 47. For first time guests, one advice is to check in and go relax. Skip the vacation planner, public relations desk and skip the presentation person for another day as those three can take a very very long time. Unlike other major hotel chains where you earn status from frequent stays, at Palace Resorts you have to buy status and their sales team can be extremely aggressive. So come back to them once you are rested. Guests are entitled to resort credits but they come with a lot of asterisks and exclusions so dont feel like you have to use them. If I do have a complaint it would be the resort credits. Palace, stop making it so hard to spend them!!!

We had such a lovely stay here! There are tons of hotel options to choose from, but we are glad we stayed at Sun Palace. First thing to note in the hotel itself - it’s recently updated and the room was very nice. It wasn’t crowded so we didn’t have to fight for pool chairs and could move between the pools as we wanted. The quiet pool was our favorite, but we liked also going over to the party pool and doing some of the fun games. They keep the beach really clean too. The service is outstanding across the board. They really want you to feel special loved. Hot towels when you enter, bell service. Our pick up/drop off to/from the airport, even though we booked the shared shuttle, they gave us a private shuttle, which was really lovely. Highly recommend you book a shuttle through the hotel as there’s a ton of scams and ripoff taxis right outside immigration. Pool service were so attentive and quick. Servers were so sweet! For restaurants, we loved Fuego with our server Kevin and we loved Trattoria with our server Abel. The servers go above and beyond! The food is generally pretty good for an inclusive, but Fuego’s food we think was by far the best. Outside of this, throughout our stay, hotel personnel consistently asked us how we were doing. There were multiple times to give feedback on our experience and they were open and willing to hear everything that we had to share, which mostly was good things. The rooms are nicely updated - we loved the hot tub in the room, which is their base level room. Hotel gym had everything we needed. Drinks were not watered down here by any means, and there was entertainment every single day and every single night throughout the night to ensure that you had something to do in the hotel. Overall, this was a really fun stay and we are sad to leave. This was definitely a relaxing way to refuel ourselves before the new year. We didn’t do any day trips, tours, or any of the special offerings because they were a little bit on the more expensive side, but we still had a great time nonetheless. Would highly recommend some palace for your trip to Cancun!

This is certainly a very expensive resort, but without a doubt it is also an exceptional one, and we did not regret the expense at all. The facility is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and very clean, with little sign of wear and tear. The rooms are large, spacious, and exceptionally well equipped, offering a perfect balance of comfort and luxury. The food is on another level. It is creative, plentiful, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully plated, with an impressive variety. The four restaurants were all distinctly different and showcased a great deal of creativity. The buffet exceeded expectations, featuring special touches such as Christmas pastries and breads, a yogurt bar, and a wide range of options. The alcohol selection was also excellent, offering a great variety of high-quality drinks that were well prepared. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic, the pool area is beautiful, and despite the resort being full, it never felt overcrowded or chaotic. Everything felt calm, relaxed, and well managed. Overall, this is an outstanding resort, and we could not be more pleased with our stay.

Sun Palace was an amazing resort experience. Adults only definitely made our experience more peaceful . The event coordinators kept guests entertained with pool volleyball, contests, and activities that really created a fun sense of community. The food was great, the swim-up bar was a highlight, and the entire resort smelled incredible, we even bought a room spray to take home (The spray is basically empty which is a sign to go back soon). Free 24/7 room service was a huge plus. Safety was clearly a priority, with staff training for emergencies before the pool opened, and there were fun events every evening. Only small note is that the restaurant food could be spicier, but that’s just personal preference. Highly recommend!
